Cowboys vs. Jayhawks Prediction

Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. Kansas Jayhawks, 2/24/20 Prediction & Odds

The top-ranked Kansas Jayhawks are coming off a huge road win over the weekend to propel them to No. 1 in the nation. Can Kansas avoid a letdown tonight as big home favorites against the Oklahoma State Cowboys?

Cowboys blast Sooners

Oklahoma State cruised to an 83-66 home win Saturday over in-state rival Oklahoma to improve to 14-13 overall and 4-0 in the Big 12 Conference. The Cowboys outscored the Sooners 41-30 in the second half to pull away. Cameron McGriff poured in 28 points to lead the way on 11-of-17 shooting including 4-of-6 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also pulled down seven rebounds. Kalib Boone accounted for 14 points and six boards off the bench. Yor Anei added 10 points, 10 caroms and two steals.

Jayhawks down top-ranked Bears

Kansas ended the 24-game winning streak of previously No. 1-ranked Baylor Saturday afternoon as it prevailed 64-61. The Jayhawks led 34-31 at halftime and held on from there. Udoka Azubuike led Kansas with 23 points on 11-of-13 shooting plus 1-of-3 at the charity stripe. He also racked up 19 rebounds and three blocked shots. Devon Dotson tallied 13 points, three assists and two steals. Isaiah Moss added 11 points and three boards.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Oklahoma State

The Cowboys are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall. Oklahoma State is 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games as an underdog.

The Jayhawks are 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall. Kansas is 16-7 ATS in its last 23 games as a home favorite.

This is a big spread and the letdown factor is there, but the Jayhawks already downed Oklahoma State 65-50 on the road and the Cowboys are also in a letdown spot of their own after the win over Oklahoma. I'd rather side with Kansas on its home floor with the short rest as it continues to show why it is deserving of being the top-ranked team in the nation.
