Saturday’s ACC Predictions
There are three games in the ACC on Saturday that features a ranked team. Here’s our predictions for the highlighted contests in the conference.
Georgia Tech at No. 15 Clemson, 3PM ET (ACC Network)
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Clemson is the clear favorite in this game, as the Tigers are getting odds of -11.5 points against Georgia Tech. The Tigers have had an up-and-down season, but most of the ups have come at home. Clemson is 13-1 overall at home with a 9-2 mark against the spread. The Tigers need something positive today after losing three straight. It should come against a Tech team that has lost six straight and failed to cover in five of those six losses. ACC PREDICTIONS: CLEMSON -11.5
Bet on Georgia Tech vs. Clemson
No. 1 Virginia at Pittsburgh, 4PM ET (ESPNU)
Oddsmakers are giving Virginia a very big spread for this game. The Cavaliers are listed with odds of -19.5 points against Pitt. This is the biggest spread Virginia has had in the ACC. Their previous two biggest were both 15.5 points, which they failed to cover in both. Pittsburgh has lost two of its last three at home by more than 20 points, but it’s tough to give up 20 points if you are betting on UVA. Virginia averages just 64 points per game offensively on the road. That means it has to hold Pitt to around 45 points. I just don’t feel good about that. ACC PREDICTIONS: PITTSBURGH +19.5

Syracuse at No. 5 Duke, 6:15PM ET (ESPN)
Oddsmakers have Duke as a big favorite at home, with the Blue Devils getting odds of -13 points. Duke has been without Marvin Bagley lately, but it has been playing some of its best basketball despite that. They have won and covered in four straight. Syracuse has actually on three of its last four on the road, but I wouldn’t expect that road success to continue tonight. Duke looks as good as ever and the Blue Devils will have the rowdy crowd behind them. Their offensive talent will be too much for defensive-minded Syracuse. ACC PREDICTIONS: DUKE -13
