Can No. 3 Kansas find a way to win at home by a large margin tonight when it faces TCU at 7PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Kansas is the clear favorite at home, as the Jayhawks are getting odds of -12.5 points against the Horned Frogs. The over/under total for the game is listed at 150 points. Kansas picked up an 86-80 win at TCU on Dec. 30. The Jayhawks have won their last 10 against TCU, but the Horned Frogs are 5-1 against the spread in the last six of this series.

Kansas has won four straight, including a 67-65 win at Baylor this weekend to improve to 24-3 on the season and 12-2 in the Big 12. The Jayhawks have struggled against the spread all season, especially as a favorite. Kansas is just 8-16-1 against the spread on the season and only 2-9 ATS at home. The Jayhawks are averaging 82.9 points per game on offense while allowing 72.1 on defense. Frank Mason III is averaging 20.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5 assists per game while Josh Jackson is adding 16.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per contest.

TCU has lost three straight following an 84-71 loss at Iowa State this weekend. The Horned Frogs are now 17-10 overall and 6-8 in the Big 12. They have failed to cover in their last four games and now sit at 12-13 against the spread on the season. TCU averages 74.2 points per game on offense while allowing 69.3 on defense. Away from home, those numbers nearly flip, as TCU averages just 67.8 on offense and gives up 74.9 on defense. Vladimiri Brodziansky is leading the team with 13.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while Kenrich Williams is adding 10 points and 9 rebounds per game.

Kansas has picked up some nice wins lately, but the Jayhawks are too consistent at playing down to their level of competition. I don’t trust Kansas to win by double digits against anyone right now. They haven’t had a double-digit win since beating Texas at home on Jan. 21 as a 16.5-point favorite. They have only covered once as a double-digit favorite at home in Big 12 play.
