Dons snap three-game skid
San Francisco earned a 70-61 victory last Thursday night at Santa Clara to improve to 17-10 overall and 8-6 in the West Coast Conference. The Dons led 36-27 at halftime en route to the triumph. Jamaree Bouyea led San Francisco with 17 points on 7-of-15 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point distance plus 1-of-2 at the free throw line. He also tallied seven assists and three rebounds. Jimbo Lull accounted for 16 points, 14 boards, four assists, two steals and two blocked shots. Charles Minlend had a double-double of 11 points and 10 caroms. Dzimitry Ryuny added 10 points and two rebounds off the bench.
Zags win 18th straight
Gonzaga picked up an 89-77 win Saturday night at Pepperdine to move to 26-1 overall and 12-0 in conference play. The Bulldogs outscored the Waves 49-41 in the second half to clinch it. Filip Petrusev paced Gonzaga with 27 points on 9-of-20 shooting plus 9-of-13 at the charity stripe. He also registered 12 rebounds and three assists. Corey Kispert tallied 19 points, six boards and five dimes. Joel Ayayi tallied 11 points, six caroms, four assists and two steals. College Basketball Betting Trends
San Francisco
The Dons are 6-13 ATS in their last 19 road games. The road team is 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings.
Gonzaga
The Bulldogs are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. Gonzaga is 7-3 ATS in its last 10 games versus a team with a winning road record.
Prediction:
The Zags only downed the Dons 83-79 19 days ago in San Francisco, but Gonzaga is generally a much different animal on its home floor. Considering the Bulldogs have the nation's best offense and are facing a leaky Dons defense, I don't see much that can save the visitors here. San Francisco has been inconsistent on the road and even lost by 12 at home to Pacific the game after keeping it close with Gonzaga. I don't like San Francisco's chances to hang in there tonight versus a Zags team that has won their last four home games by at least 18 points.
