Beavers struggle versus Buffaloes

Oregon State stumbled to a 69-47 home loss Saturday night against Colorado to drop to 15-10 overall and 5-8 in Pac-12 Conference action. The Beavers were outscored 38-25 in the second half of the defeat. Ethan Thompson led Oregon State with 17 points on 7-of-17 shooting plus 3-of-4 at the free throw line. He also tallied five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Tres Tinkle added 10 points, 13 boards and three steals.

Wildcats down Cardinal

Arizona secured a 69-60 win Saturday night at Stanford to improve to 18-7 overall and 8-4 in conference play. The Wildcats led 30-23 at halftime en route to the win. Zeke Nnaji tallied 21 points to lead Arizona on 6-of-10 shooting plus 9-of-12 at the charity stripe. He also racked up 11 rebounds and two steals. Josh Green contributed 15 points, six boards, three assists and two steals. Dylan Smith added 11 points and six caroms.

Prediction:

The Wildcats had a puzzling home loss to UCLA a few games ago, but aside from that they have been very solid as of late and are very deserving of their spot in the top 25. The Wildcats struggled to an 82-65 loss at Oregon State last month, so this is a revenge spot and with them playing much better right now I like the hosts to roll here. Oregon State is not very good defensively and its offense has taken a step back lately. The hosts should have their way.
