Xavier looking for revenge vs. G’Town
After already suffering a loss at home to Georgetown this season, will No. 8 Xavier avoid another letdown when the two meet today at Noon ET on FOX?
According to oddsmakers at RealBets, Xavier is favored on the road today, as the Musketeers are getting odds of -4 points against the Hoyas. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 146 points.
Going on the road hasn’t been an issue for Xavier (23-3, 11-3 Big East), as the Musketeers are 7-2 on the road this season. Xavier has also gone 4-1 straight up and against the spread in its last five road games, including a 74-57 win at Butler last weekend. Xavier faces Georgetown (14-13, 7-7 Big East) that has struggled at home as of late. The Hoyas have lost five of their last six overall and three of their last five at home. The Hoyas are also just 2-6 ATS in their last eight and 1-3 ATS in their last four at home.
The road team has also fared well in this series, as they have won and covered in three straight. Georgetown actually picked up a surprising 81-72 win at Xavier back on Jan. 19, with the Hoyas coming in as a 10-point underdog. Xavier is actually averaging more points (74.1 ppg) on the road than Georgetown is at home (73.9 ppg).
