Cyclones roll past Longhorns

Iowa State dominated visiting Texas Saturday afternoon to improve to 11-14 overall and 4-8 in the Big 12 Conference. The Cyclones led 37-26 at halftime and continued to pull away after the break. Michael Jacobsen paced ISU with 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting including 2-of-2 from 3-point distance plus 3-of-6 at the free throw line. He also racked up 13 rebounds and three assists. Solomon Young tallied 17 points, five boards and two blocked shots. Prentiss Nixon accounted for 17 points and four caroms. Rasir Bolton added 10 points, four rebounds and two steals.

Jayhawks take down Sooners

Kansas rolled to an 87-70 home victory Saturday afternoon over Oklahoma to move to 22-3 overall and 11-1 in conference action. The Jayhawks led 41-32 at halftime and padded the lead after the break. Marcus Garrett led Kansas with 24 points on 9-of-18 shooting including 6-of-9 from 3-point range. He also registered seven assists, five rebounds and four steals. Devon Dotson had 19 points, eight boards and five dimes. Udoka Azubuike tallied 15 points, 17 caroms and four blocked shots. Ochai Agbaji added 10 points, six rebounds and three assists.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Iowa State

The Cyclones are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five Monday games. Iowa State is 1-5 ATS in its last six games as a road underdog.

The Jayhawks are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games. The home team is 2-7 ATS in the last nine meetings.

The Cyclones are on a quick turnaround against the best defensive team in the country. Not exactly an ideal situation. While Iowa State has had some home success, it's been a far different story on the road where it has not won a single game all season. Considering ISU already lost 79-53 at home last month against Kansas, I don't see it going very well tonight for the visitors.
