Louisville drops in poll
LOUISVILLE, KY (TheSpread) – Louisville suffered another tough loss this past week and now the Cardinals find themselves outside the top 10 in the latest top 25 rankings.
Louisville started the week off well, picking up a 69-56 win over Pittsburgh, but the Cardinals then suffered a 74-65 loss at home to N.C. State to fall to 20-5 on the season and 8-4 in the ACC. The Cardinals are 3.5 games behind Virginia in the conference standings now. The loss to N.C. State dropped Louisville from eighth to 12th in this week’s standings.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Louisville is currently getting 28/1 odds to win the Final Four this season. The Cardinals have the 11th shortest odds of any team in the country. Kentucky is the favorite with 11/10 odds while Wisconsin has 15/2 odds.
Louisville has lost two of its last three games, but the Cardinals are 4-1 against the spread in their last five. Louisville heads to Syracuse on Wednesday before heading back home to face Miami on Saturday. The Cardinals also have games with Georgia Tech, Florida State and Notre Dame on the schedule before the ACC Tournament.
