Utes struggle at Beavers

Utah lost by a count of 70-51 Thursday night at Oregon State to drop to 14-10 overall and 5-7 in conference action. The Utes trailed 35-19 at halftime on their way to the defeat. Branden Carlson led Utah with 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting including 1-of-2 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-3 at the free throw line. He also pulled down eight rebounds. Both Gach added eight points in 22 minutes off the bench.

Ducks rally past Buffaloes

Oregon earned a 68-60 home win over Colorado Thursday night to move to 19-6 overall and 8-4 in Pac-12 conference play. The Ducks outscored the Buffaloes 42-25 in the second half after trailing by nine at the break. Will Richardson led Oregon with 21 points on 7-of-15 shooting including 3-of-5 from 3-point range plus 4-of-4 at the charity stripe. He also contributed nine rebounds and two steals. Payton Pritchard added 15 points, 11 boards, six s assists and two steals.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Utes are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. Utah is 1-4 ATS in its last five Sunday games.

The Ducks are 7-0 ATS in their last seven Sunday games. The home team is 0-4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.

The Utes have only one road win all season and that was all the way back in their season opener at Nevada. Since then Utah has lost seven road contests in a row and only one result has been closer than 16 points. Considering the Utes lost by 19 points three nights ago against a much lesser Oregon State squad, I don't like their chances in this one. Take Oregon to win decisively.
