Bears notch win over Sooners

Baylor improved to 16-8 overall and 7-4 in the Big 12 Conference Monday night with a 59-53 home victory over Oklahoma. The Bears outscored the Sooners 28-22 in the second half after the contest went into halftime tied. Devonte Bandoo tallied 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting including 5-of-7 from 3-point range plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line off the bench to lead the way. He also grabbed two rebounds. Jared Butler added 11 points, five rebounds and two assists. Baylor shot 21-of-54 from the field, 10-of-22 from 3-point distance and 7-of-10 at the charity stripe.

Red Raiders dominate at Cowboys

Texas Tech cruised to a 78-50 victory Wednesday night at Oklahoma State to improve to 20-5 overall and 8-4 in conference action. The Red Raiders led 44-23 at halftime en route to the win. Jarrett Culver paced Texas Tech with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point distance plus 3-of-5 at the free throw line. He also notched three rebounds and two steals. Matt Mooney recorded 15 points, four boards and two assists. Tariq Owens added 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots. Texas Tech shot 29-of-56 from the floor, 12-of-25 on 3-pointers and 8-of-10 at the free throw line.
