Alabama Game Notes

Alabama center Charles Bediako is questionable for Wednesday night’s game with a knee injury. Bediako is averaging 5.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game in 20.5 minutes per contest for the Crimson Tide this year.

One of Alabama’s most important players is junior guard Mark Sears. The Muscle Shoals, Alabama native is second on the Crimson Tide in scoring with 14 points per game, and he’s second on the club with 53 made three-pointers this season. Sears is also leading Alabama in steals per game with 1.4 and his defense could prove pivotal in this SEC showdown.

Tennessee Game Notes

Two of Tennessee’s top five scorers are designated as questionable for Wednesday’s tilt with Alabama. Freshman forward Julian Phillips is dealing with a hip flexor and senior guard Josiah-Jordan James is nursing an ankle injury. Phillips is posting 9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game while James has recorded 9.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Volunteers this season.
