Celtics vs. 76ers Prediction
The Celtics will be without guard Kyrie Irving on Tuesday night when they take on the 76ers in a battle of Eastern Conference contenders. Will Irving’s absence lead to a failed cover by the Celtics or do they have enough to keep pace with the Sixers?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the 76ers are 6.5-point favorites to beat the Celtics. The total, meanwhile, sits at 225 points and as of this writing, 64% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the 76ers to cover the point spread.
Boston Celtics Fantasy Spin
Kyrie Irving (strained right knee) will not play on Tuesday vs. the 76ers. The Celtics haven't provided much information on the injury or his progress, but we learned from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN over the weekend that Irving is considered day-to-day. The Celtics were already being cautious with Kyrie before the knee tweak, so expect more of the same going forward. Terry Rozier should be picked up in all leagues until Irving is cleared to return. In addition to Rozier, Jayson Tatum should see a nice spike in value for the short term.
Philadelphia 76ers Fantasy Spin
Tobias Harris got hot on Sunday with 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting, adding six rebounds, six assists, three 3-pointers and one block in 29 minutes. The Sixers' offense ran away with this one in a 143-120 home victory, and as usual Harris looks like a natural fit with a new team. He didn't have more than five assists until Jan. 20 this season, when he starting handling the ball more for L.A., so his playmaking tonight was a welcome sight. He's efficient enough to carve out top-50 value even with reduced usage, and fantasy owners can relax -- the sky isn't falling, even though Philly isn't ideal for his fantasy ceiling.
NBA Betting Trends
The Celtics are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous contest.
The 76ers failed to cover in 13 of their last 18 games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous contest.
The Celtics have fared well when Irving doesn’t play, but only at home. They’re 6-0 straight up at home when Irving doesn’t play a minute but just 1-2 on the road, losing at Utah 123-115 on November 9 and at Brooklyn 109-102 on February 14. They did have enough to beat the Cavs 103-96 without Irving last week but they failed to cover as a 10.5-point favorite. The favorite is a perfect 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams and so is the home squad.
Tuesday NBA Prediction: Philadelphia 76ers -6.5
