Kentucky vs. Alabama Pick

CBB Predictions: Kentucky Wildcats vs. Alabama Crimson Tide 2/11/17

Will No. 15 Kentucky go on the road and hand Alabama a big loss when the two meet in SEC action today at 1PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Kentucky is favored on the road today, as the Wildcats are getting odds of -8 points against Alabama. The over/under total is listed at 148.5 points. The Wildcats have won six straight in this series and covered the spread in the last three meetings with the Tide.

Bet on Kentucky vs. Alabama

Kentucky is coming off a 92-85 win at home over LSU to move to 19-5 on the season and 9-2 in the SEC. However, the Wildcats have failed to cover in their last five games and are now just 12-12 against the spread on the season. Kentucky is averaging an impressive 90.2 points per game on offense this season, but that falls to 81.7 per game on the road. Defensively, they are allowing 74.3 points per game on the season, but giving up 80.2 on the road. Malik Monk is averaging 21.9 points per game to lead the team while De’Aaron Fox is adding 16 points and 5.5 assists per contest.

Alabama is coming off a 90-86 4OT win over South Carolina on the road this week. The Tide are now 14-9 overall and 7-4 in the SEC. Alabama is 3-2 against the spread in its last five games and now 10-11 ATS on the season. Bama averages just 70.3 points per game on offense this year while giving up 66 on defense. Braxton Key is leading the team with 11.8 points and 6 rebounds per game while Dazon Ingram is adding 10.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

Kentucky beat LSU, but let the Tigers hang around and failed to cover once again. The Wildcats haven’t been a team you can trust at the betting window and Bama is coming off a big road win at South Carolina. While I don’t think that carries the Tide to a win, I do think it will motivated them to play above their abilities today and keep the game with Kentucky interesting.
