Bears get past Cowboys

Baylor earned a 78-70 home victory Saturday over Oklahoma State to improve to 21-1 overall and 10- in the Big 12 Conference. The Bears led 35-26 at halftime and held on from there. MaCio Teague paced Baylor with 24 points on 6-of-9 shooting including 4-of-7 from 3-point range plus 8-of-9 at the free throw line. He also pulled down seven rebounds. Jared Butler tallied 15 points, six assists and two steals. Mark Vital registered 13 points, six boards and two steals. Freddie Gillespie contributed 12 points, 11 caroms and two blocked shots. Davion Mitchell added 10 points, five dimes and two rebounds.

Longhorns fall against Red Raiders

Texas suffered a 62-57 home defeat Saturday afternoon versus Texas Tech to drop to 14-9 overall and 4-6 in conference action. The Longhorns were outscoed 43-26 in the second half after leading by 12 at the break. Andrew Jones led Texas with 18 points off the bench on 6-of-14 shooting including 3-of-8 from 3-point range plus 3-of-3 at the charity stripe. He also grabbed three rebounds. Matt Coleman III added 17 points, seven boards and three assists.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Bears are 36-17-1 ATS in their last 54 road games. Baylor is 0-3-1 ATS in its last four Monday games.

The Longhorns are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 home games. The home team is 3-8 ATS in the last 11 meetings.

Texas let a win slip away Saturday with a terrible second half and does not exactly have the easiest of bounceback spots here. Baylor has been road warriors all season and despite a tough game on deck against West Virginia, I don't see the Bears looking ahead when playing an in-state foe. Baylor has managed to stay grounded and consistent throughout the season and I expect nothing less tonight. Bet on the Bears to cover as road favorites.
