According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, Florida State is slightly favored at home, as the Seminoles are getting odds of -3 points against Louisville. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 143 points. The public betting currently has 52 percent going on Louisville on the road. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our College Basketball Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Cardinals bounce back

Louisville suffered a 79-69 loss at home to North Carolina last weekend, but bounced back on Monday with a 72-64 victory at Virginia Tech. The Cardinals have won seven of their last eight and have covered in five of their last six. Louisville is 17-6 on the season, 8-2 in the ACC, 5-2 on the road, 13-8-2 against the spread and 12-11 with the under.

The Cardinals have been improving on both sides of the ball throughout the season. They now average 78.8 points per game on offense while holding opponents to just 68 per game on defense. Jordan Nwora is leading the team this season with 17.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game while Dwayne Sutton adds 10.9 points and 7.0 rebounds per outing.

FSU heating up

Since a 3-game losing streak in the middle of January, Florida State has reeled off four straight wins, including an 8-62 win at Syracuse this week. The Seminoles are now 17-5 on the season, 5-4 in the ACC, 10-1 at home, 9-12-1 against the spread and 11-9-2 with the under.

FSU has similar numbers to Louisville in terms of offense and defense. The Seminoles are putting up 77 points per game this year while giving up 68.3 per contest. They have a nearly +10 rebounding advantage on their opponents as well. Mfiondu Kabengele has been leading the team with 13.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while Terance Mann is adding 11.9 points and 6.7 rebounds per contest.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Louisville is 5-1 against the spread in its last six ACC games and the Cardinals have covered in four straight road games.

Florida State

Florida State is 9-3-1 against the spread in its last 13 Saturday games, but just 3-8-1 ATS in its last 12 at home.

Florida State may be heating up, but Louisville has been pretty hot since ACC play started. The Cardinals have been able to win defensive battles and shootouts and just look to be the more consistent team. Florida State could certainly get hot at home, but the Seminoles have not been a reliable cover play on their home floor. I like the Cardinals to continue their upward trend.
