Tigers down Gators for first time in 20 years

Auburn scored a rare victory over Florida Tuesday night at home as it secured a 76-62 victory. The Tigers (16-6, 5-4 SEC) outscored the Gators 40-32 in the second half to pull away. Bryce Brown paced a balanced Auburn scoring effort with 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting including 2-of-6 from 3-point range in 32 minutes of action. Samir Doughty accounted for 12 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists. Chuma Okeke added 11 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists. The Tigers shot 25-of-52 from the floor, 9-of-25 from 3-point range and 17-of-27 from the free throw line in the winning effort.

LSU downs Bulldogs in OT

Louisiana State earned a 92-88 overtime victory Wednesday night at Mississippi State to improve to 18-4 overall and 8-1 in conference play. The Tigers outscored the hosts 49-41 in the second half and 9-5 in overtime to notch the win. Louisiana State shot 35-of-64 from the floor, 3-of-11 from 3-point distance and 19-of-25 from the charity stripe. Naz Reid paced the Tigers with 29 points on 10-of-17 shooting including 2-of-3 from 3-point distance plus 7-of-8 from the free throw line. He also contributed nine rebounds and two assists. College Basketball Betting Trends

The Tigers are 0-8 ATS in a road game with a total between 155 and 159.5 since 1997.

The Tigers are 1-2 ATS against Auburn the last three years.

This could be a letdown spot for Louisiana State after the comeback OT victory. Auburn had a solid start to the season, but has fallen off recently. It's clear the talent is there and with AU searching for a key victory, I expect the visitors to step up in a big way here.
