Virginia vs. Florida State Pick

College Basketball Predictions: Will Virginia cover at Florida State?

Can No. 2 Virginia remain hot when it goes on the road to face Florida State tonight at 7PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Virginia is favored on the road tonight, as the Cavaliers are getting odds of -3 points against Florida State. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 131.5 points. Tonight’s game takes place from Donald L. Tucker Center in Tallahassee, Florida and will air live on the ACC Network.

Virginia continued its dominant run lately, picking up a 59-44 win at Syracuse last weekend. The Cavs are 8-1-1 against the spread in their last 10 games. Virginia is 22-1 overall, 11-0 in the ACC and 15-4-1 against the spread. UVA is putting up just 68.7 points per game on offense, but holding opponents to only 52.3 per game. Kyle Guy is leading Virginia with 15.5 points per game while Devon Hall is adding 12.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest.

Florida State is coming off an 80-76 win at Louisville last weekend for its fourth win in five games. The Seminoles are now 17-6 overall, 6-5 in the ACC and 14-6-1 against the spread. FSU is scoring 84.7 per game this season and 91.2 per game at home. Defensively, the Seminoles are allowing 73.3 per game. Terance Mann is leading FSU with 15.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while Braian Angola is adding 14.1 points per game.

Bet on Virginia vs. Florida State

Florida State has won the last two meetings with Virginia, but the two haven’t met since 2016. Florida State has an offense that could cause problems for Virginia, but the Cavs have been so locked in that I am going to continue to ride their hot streak. They have kept their last 10 opponents under 65 points, which includes a road trip at Duke and a home game with UNC. If someone is going to find a weakness in the FSU offense, it is Virginia. The public betting is strongly with Virginia tonight as well.
