Bears edge Beavers

California secured a 69-67 home win Saturday afternoon over Oregon State to improve to 10-11 overall and 4-4 in Pac-12 Conference play. The Bears outscored the Beavers 39-35 in the second half after trailing by two at halftime. Matt Bradley paced Cal with 23 points on 7-of-11 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point distance plus 7-of-9 at the free throw line. He also registered six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Buffaloes blast Trojans

Colorado cruised to a 78-57 win Saturday night at USC to move to 17-5 overall and 6-3 in conference action. The Buffaloes outscored the Trojans 45-33 in the second half to put it away. Tyler Bey led Colorado with 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting including 2-of-2 from 3-point range plus 2-of-4 at the charity stripe. He also contributed seven rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots. College Basketball Betting Trends

The Golden Bears are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. California is 0-6 ATS in its last six road games.

The Buffaloes are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The favorite is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings.

There is no doubt Colorado is the much better team here but with bitter rival Stanford on deck in two days this could be a look-ahead situation. While the last three Bears games have been at home, they have all been competitive and only three times this season have the Bears been beaten by more than 17 points. Cal is not good, but it can scrap it out most of the time this one staying closer than projected.
