Can Florida hang with Kentucky today?
Can Florida stay within the 7-point spread today when it visits fellow SEC foe Kentucky at 4:00PM ET on Saturday?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the No. 20 Wildcats are currently 7-point home favorites versus the Gators after they opened as 7.5-point favorites. As for the total, it opened at 142.5 but has been bet up a full point to 143.5.
Given the struggles that Kentucky has had of late, the line for today's game seems inflated. The Wildcats blew a 21-point lead while losing 84-77 at Tennessee earlier in the week and have dropped two in a row.
The Gators, meanwhile, look rejuvenated while winning five of their last six games. In that stretch, they beat West Virginia 88-71 last Saturday to end a 10-game slide versus ranked opponents. They followed that win with a 87-83 triumph over Arkansas at home.
Florida is now 4-1 against the spread in its last five road games and 6-2 ATS in its last eight games overall. The Gators have also done well at the betting window in recent games versus SEC opponents, covering in five of their last seven conference tilts.
We like Florida to cover as a 7-point dog today.
