Demon Deacons snap three-game skid

Wake Forest won by a score of 56-44 Saturday night at home over Clemson to improve to 10-11 overall and 3-8 in ACC play. The Demon Deacons outscored the Tigers 34-25 in the second half to pull away. Andrien White led Wake Forest with 17 points on 5-of-15 shooting including 4-of-12 from 3-point distance plus 3-of-3 at the free throw line. He also grabbed three rebounds. Brandon Childress added 10 points, five boards, five assists and two steals.

Cardinals win eighth straight

Louisville cruised to a 77-57 home win Saturday over North Carolina State to improve to 19-3 overall and 10-1 in conference action. The Cardinals led 41-26 at halftime and cruised from there. Ryan McMahon paced Louisville with 23 points off the bench on 8-of-12 shooting including 7-of-10 from 3-point range. He also grabbed two rebounds. Jordan Nwora tallied 14 points and nine boards. Lamarr Kimble added 10 points, five assists and four caroms.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Wake Forest

The Demon Deacons are 20-33 ATS as an underdog the last three seasons. Wake Forest is 9-20 ATS on the road the last three seasons.

The Cardinals are 32-19 ATS in ACC games the last three seasons. Louisville is 2-0 ATS in the last three seasons versus Wake Forest.

The Cardinals have won their last three games by at least 17 points with two of them being on the road. While I don't see the Demon Deacons providing a ton of resistance, beating teams by this many points this many games in a row is difficult to do. Wake Forest has been pretty competitive lately even in losses and I'd rather take the points for what could be a spot that Louisville takes its foot off the gas pedal. A matchup with defending national champion Virginia awaits and the Cardinals could be caught looking ahead.
