Tigers ease past Rebels

Louisiana State posted a 73-63 home victory Saturday over Mississippi to improve to 17-4 overall and 8-0 in conference action. The Tigers established a 40-20 halftime advantage en route to the win. Trendon Watford tallied 13 points, nine boards and two assists. Marlon Taylor added 13 points, 11 caroms and two steals off the bench.

Commodores stay winless in SEC

Vanderbilt lost 61-55 at home Saturday night versus Florida to fall to 8-13 overall and 0-8 in SEC play. The Commodores trailed 26-21 at halftime and were unable to recover. Scotty Pippen Jr. led Vandy with 15 points on 4-of-8 shooting plus 7-of-11 at the charity stripe. He also registered five rebounds and two assists. College Basketball Betting Trends

The Tigers are 2-1 ATS versus Vanderbilt over the last three seasons. The over is 2-1 in the last three meetings.

The Commodores is 20-31 ATS over the last two seasons. Vanderbilt is 15-31 ATS at home the last three seasons.

The Tigers are the much better team in this matchup obviously, but they also have a date at Auburn on deck. Louisiana State has not won any of its last three road games by more than four points and Vanderbilt is coming off a game where it was relatively competitive. I'm going to take a shot on the big home underdogs in this spot.
