Virginia Tech Player Spotlight
Jalen Cone failed to score (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt) Tuesday at Miami, grabbing two rebounds in 15 minutes off of the bench. Cone had started the team’s previous three games but struggled over the weekend against Boston College. It’s an unfortunate turn of events for the freshman, who appeared to be trending upward. He’s not much more than a scorer, and with limited minutes, he’ll have to be incredibly efficient when on the court.
Georgia Tech Player Spotlight
Michael Devoe (leg) is doubtful to play in Tuesday’s game against Virginia Tech, Matthew McGavic of SI.com reports. Devoe has missed the last three games with a leg injury. Coach Josh Pastner said he is hoping to get Devoe back by Saturday against Pittsburgh. He is averaging 16.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists, and 1.8 three-pointers per game this season.
