Gonzaga up to No. 2 in new poll
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – With some upsets taking place this weekend, there is a new team at No. 2 in the latest Top 25 poll, and that is the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Gonzaga is coming off a pair of wins this week, beating Portland and Memphis by 18 points. That combined with a Duke and Virginia loss opened the door for the Bulldogs to jump up to No. 2 in the poll. One person actually gave Gonzaga a first-place vote, which is surprising considering Kentucky is undefeated.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Gonzaga is currently getting 10/1 odds to win the 2015 Final Four, joining the likes of Virginia with 10/1 odds. Kentucky is the favorite to win it all with 1/1 odds while Duke and Wisconsin each have 7/1 odds.
Gonzaga is 22-1 on the season and 10-0 in the West Coast Conference. The Bulldogs have won 15 straight games since losing at Arizona, 66-63 in overtime. Gonzaga is 11-7-2 against the spread this season while hitting the over 11 times. Gonzaga has never won the NCAA Tournament and never made a Final Four appearance. Their top run was the Elite Eight in 1999.
