Wildcats dominate Commodores
Kentucky won its seventh consecutive game Tuesday night with a commanding 87-52 victory at Vanderbilt. The Wildcats (17-3, 6-1 Southeastern Conference) cruised to a 45-15 halftime advantage on their way to the win. P.J. Washington paced Kentucky with 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting including 3-of-3 from 3-point range plus 5-of-6 at the free throw line. He also tallied 12 rebounds, three steals and two assists. Nick Richards accounted for 14 points and four blocked shots off the bench. Tyler Herro tallied 12 points, three boards, three steals and two assists. Keldon Johnson added 11 points and two assists. The Wildcats shot 30-of-54 from the field, 10-of-17 from 3-point range and 17-of-23 from the free throw line.
Gators win in overtime
Florida secured a 90-86 home win over Mississippi Wednesday night to improve to 12-8 overall and 4-3 in the SEC. The Gators led 33-30 at halftime before the Rebels tied it by the end of regulation, but Florida regained its composure and outscored Ole Miss 14-10 in the extra session. The Gators shot 31-of-63 from the floor, 11-of-26 from 3-point range and 17-of-22 at the free throw line. Noah Locke paced Florida with 22 points on 7-of-13 shooting including 6-of-11 from 3-point range plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also grabbed four rebounds. KeVaughn Allen contributed 21 points, five assists and two boards. Keyontae Johnson tallied 15 points plus six caroms and two dimes. College Basketball Betting Trends
Kentucky
The Wildcats are 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall. Kentucky is 5-1 ATS in its last six road games.
Florida
The Gators are 0-4 ATS in their last four home games. The underdog is 1-7 ATS in the last eight meetings.
Prediction:
Kentucky will go from one road game to the next, but a matchup at Florida will be much more difficult than a walk-through at a mediocre Vandy squad. The Gators typically play Kentucky tough and won last year at home over the Wildcats by a count of 80-67. The Wildcats are playing excellent basketball right now, but I'm going to bet on the home advantage plus a Florida team that needs to play excellent basketball the next few weeks to have a shot at the NCAA Tournament.
