Can No. 25 Florida go on the road and handle its business when it faces Oklahoma in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge today at 2PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Florida is the slight road favorite today, as the Gators are getting odds of -2.5 points against the Sooners. The over/under total for the game is listed at 150.5 points. These two have no recent meetings to consider.

Florida is coming off an impressive 106-71 win at LSU during the week to move to 15-5 on the season. The Gators are 4-2 in road games, having won three of its last four away from home. Florida is 10-8 against the spread on the season, including 8-5 ATS away from home. The Gators have been a pretty good defensive team, allowing just 66.8 points per game this season. On offense, Florida is putting up 78.4 per game. Canyon Barry continues to deal with an ankle injury that has him questionable for today’s game. Barry is the team’s second-leading scorer at 12.4 per game. KeVaughn Allen is leading the team with 13.9 points per game.

Oklahoma has lost back-to-back games entering today to fall to 8-11 on the season. The Sooners are also only 5-4 on their home floor, losing four of their last five at home. Oklahoma has been covering lately, though, going 5-1-1 ATS in its last seven. The Sooners are 9-7-1 ATS on the season. Oklahoma is averaging 77.1 points per game on offense and giving up 75.4 on defense. The offensive numbers slightly bump up to 81.4 at home. Jordan Woodard is leading Oklahoma with 17.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while Rashard Odomes is the only other players averaging double figures in scoring at 10.3 per game.

Oklahoma hasn’t had much to offer in the way of wins and losses this season, but the Sooners have been able to cover and somehow did manage a win at West Virginia. Florida hasn’t faced the same level of competition in the SEC and had been struggling prior to this week’s win over LSU. The Gators may not push Barry too hard in a non-conference game, which could open the door for the Sooners to pull off an upset. I’m going to take my chances on Oklahoma at home.
