Badgers struggle at Boilermakers

Wisconsin lost by a score of 70-51 Friday night at Purdue to drop to 12-8 overall and 5-4 in conference play. The Badgers trailed 33-15 at halftime en route to the lopsided defeat. D'Mitrik Trice led Wisconsin with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting including 2-of-3 from 3-point distance plus 1-of-2 at the free throw line. He also dished out two assists. Micah Potter accounted for 11 points and two rebounds off the bench. Nate Reuvers tallied 10 points and two boards.

Hawkeyes win fourth straight

Iowa secured an 85-80 home victory Wednesday nght over Rutgers to improve to 14-5 overall and 5-3 in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes outscored the Scarlet Knights 47-37 in the second half after trailing by five at the break. Luka Garza paced Iowa with 28 points points on 11-of-17 shooting including 2-of-4 from 3-point range plus 4-of-7 at the charity stripe. He also racked up 13 rebounds, four blocked shots and two steals. Joe Wieskamp contributed 18 points, four boards and four assists. Joe Toussaint tallied 14 points, seven caroms and four assists. Ryan Kriener added 11 points, two rebounds and two dimes off the bench.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Badgers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games. Wisconsin is 0-4 ATS in its last four Monday games.

The Hawkeyes are 7-0-1 ATS in their last eight home games. The favorite is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings.

This will be a clash of styles as Iowa likes to play at a fairly fast pace and is third nationally in adjusted offensive efficiency, while there are few teams nationally who play at a slower pace than the Badgers. The Badgers have been inconsistent on the offensive end and are coming off a dreadful performance a few days ago. I don't see Wisconsin having the firepower to keep up with a Hawkeyes team that has performed very well at home all season.
