Virginia Player Spotlight

Mamadi Diakite had 17 points (6-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds and two blocks Saturday at Georgia Tech. Diakite isn't rebounding at a high level, going for 10+ only twice to date, but he appears to be rounding into form as the Cavaliers most consistent scoring option. Chipping in a couple of blocks nightly as well, he's as trustworthy an option as you'll find in UVA's constantly shuffling lineup.

Wake Forest Player Spotlight

Brandon Childress had 20 points (5-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 9-10 FT), five assists and three rebounds Wednesday against Florida State. Childress snapped a two-game funk that saw him score only eight points in each. He's been very feast or famine this season, sprinkling in a 30 point game one outing after an 0-7 shooting, one point contest. He'll likely have the green light Saturday against a Duke team that he put up 31 points against in two meetings in 2018.

NCAA College Basketball Betting Trends

Prediction

The over is also 8-0-1 in their last nine games overall, is 6-0-1 in their last seven games when they’re an underdog and has cashed in five straight when Wake is coming off a loss. On the other side, the under is 38-16-1 in Virginia’s last 55 road games but the over is 5-2 in the Cavaliers’ last seven games when favored and is 3-2 in their road games this season.
