Washington St. vs. Arizona Pick

CBB Picks: Can Arizona cover a 22-point spread vs. Washington State?

Will No. 7 Arizona have a letdown performance when it plays host to Washington State tonight at 9:30PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Arizona is the clear favorite tonight, as the Wildcats are getting odds of -22 points against the Cougars. The over/under total for the game is listed at 142 points. Arizona has won the last 10 in this series and covered the spread in each of the 10 victories.

Bet on Washington State vs. Arizona

Arizona is one of the hottest teams in the nation, if not the hottest. The Wildcats have won 12 straight, including a big 96-85 win at UCLA this weekend. Arizona is now 18-2 overall and 7-0 in the Pac-12. The Wildcats have also covered in two straight and are now 11-7-2 ATS on the season. Arizona is averaging 76.1 points per game on offense while giving up just 63 points. The team got a big boost when Allonzo Trier was allowed to join the team. He had 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the win over UCLA. Lauri Markkanen is averaging 17.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest to lead the team.

Washington State snapped a four-game losing streak with a 91-89 OT win over Colorado. The Cougars are now 10-9 overall and 3-4 in the Pac-12. Washington State is 7-9 against the spread on the season, but 4-3 ATS in road games. The Cougars are averaging just 69.5 points per game on offense while allowing 74.7 per game on defense. On the road, the offense averages just 62.3 points per game. Josh Hawkinson is averaging 15.6 points and 10.3 rebounds per game to lead the team while Malachi Flynn and Ike Iroegbu is also averaging 11 points per contest.

Certainly Arizona is the better team, but I can see the Wildcats have a letdown today against Washington State. Arizona will be riding high after the win at UCLA, so they will anticipate an easy game tonight. Washington State is getting many points, so the Cougars have some leeway to work with. I like them to find a way to cover.
