Tigers vs. Mountaineers Prediction
The 14th-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers will look to stay unbeaten at home this season as they host the Missouri Tigers this afternoon in the Big 12/SEC Challenge. Is West Virginia the right play for bettors in this spot?

Tigers' struggles continue
Missouri lost 66-64 at home Tuesday night against Texas A&M for its third straight loss to drop to 9-9 overall and 1-5 in the Southeastern Conference. The Tigers were outscored 39-32 in the second half after leading 32-27 at the break. Mark Smith paced Missouri with 19 points on 6-of-15 shooting including 5-of-13 from 3-point range plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also brought down three rebounds. Dru Smith registered 18 points, eight boards and eight assists. Torrence Watson added 11 points and two caroms.
Mountaineers blast Longhorns
West Virginia raced to a 97-59 home win Monday night over Texas to move to 15-3 overall and 4-2 in Big 12 Conference play. The Mountaineers dominated the first half to the tune of 45-20 and did not look back. Derek Culver led a balanced scoring attack for West Virginia with 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting plus 5-of-8 at the charity stripe. He also tallied eight rebounds, two assists and two steals. Oscar Tshiebwe contributed 13 points, 11 boards and two steals. Jermaine Haley had 12 points, seven caroms, three assists and two steals. Jordan McCabe added 10 points, four rebounds and two assists.
College Basketball Betting Trends
Missouri
The Tigers are 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. Missouri is 2-5 ATS in its last seven games following a straight up loss.
West Virginia
The Mountaineers are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games. West Virginia is 5-2 ATS in its last seven games versus a team with a losing road record.
Prediction:
The Mountaineers are ranked third nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency and will be at home today versus a Missouri team susceptible to offensive struggles. The Tigers were blown out in their last two road games and now face a much better team in West Virginia. I don't like Missouri's chances to hang around here, especially in an early start.
