Tigers down Bearcats

Memphis earned a 60-49 home victory Thursday night over Cincinnati to improve to 14-3 overall and 3-1 in American Athletic Conference play. The Tigers led 31-20 at halftime en route to the win. D.J. Jeffries paced Memphis with 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting including 4-of-10 from 3-point range plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also accounted for four rebounds. Lester Quinones tallied 13 points and two boards. Precious Achiuwa added 12 points, 12 caroms, two assists and two blocked shots.

Golden Hurricane win third straight

Tulsa secured a 67-54 victory Saturday at Tulane to move to 12-6 overall and 4-1 in conference play. The Golden Hurricane outscored the Green Wave 41-28 in the second half after the contest was tied at the break. Martins Igbanu led Tulsa with 19 points off the bench on 4-of-7 shooting plus 11-of-12 at the charity stripe. He also registered six rebounds and two steals. Jeriah Horne tallied 16 points, five boards and two assists. Brandon Rachal added 16 points, seven caroms and three assists.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The favorite is 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings. The road team is 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings.

The Golden Hurricane are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall. Tulsa is 4-1 ATS in its last five Wednesday games.

The Golden Hurricane have played some good basketball over the last couple of weeks, even beating a very good Houston squad by two points to start the streak. The crowd should be well invested into tonight's contest against a top 25 opponent and I think Tulsa matches up well as it leans on its defense while facing a team that has offensive deficiencies. I'm taking the home dogs tonight and a bet on the moneyline could also be considered.
