Will No. 9 North Carolina cruise when it goes on the road to face Boston College today at Noon ET?

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, UNC is the clear favorite on the road today, as the Tar Heels are getting odds of -17 points against Boston College. The over/under total for the game is listed at 158.5 points. UNC has won nine straight over Boston College, going 5-4 against the spread in those nine victories.

UNC is on a five-game winning streak entering the day to move to 17-3 overall and 5-1 in the ACC. The Tar Heels are 4-1 against the spread in this win streak and sit at 10-7-1 against the spread on the season. UNC has a very talented offense that is putting up 88.6 points per game on the season while the defense allows 70.7 points per game. However, on the road, UNC is giving up 78.4 points per game and averaging just 79 points on offense. Justin Jackson is leading the Tar Heels with 18 points and 5.1 rebounds per game while Joel Berry II is adding 15.8 points and 4.2 assists per game.

Bet on North Carolina vs. Boston College

Boston College has lost two straight to fall to 9-10 on the season and 2-4 in the ACC. The Eagles have also failed to cover in both losses and are just 8-6 against the spread on the season. BC isn’t a team that is likely to hang with UNC in terms of scoring, averaging just 72.3 points per game on the year. Their defense is allowing 73.5 points per game on the season, but that dips to 70.8 at home. Jerome Robinson is leading the Eagles with 19.6 points per game while Ky Bowman is adding 11.9 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest.

UNC is certainly the better team on paper, but an 17-point road favorite is a little much for me. The Tar Heels haven’t been overly dominant on the road, as their numbers indicate. They are also just 3-5-1 against the spread on the road while Boston College is 5-2 ATS at home this season. I like the Eagles to put up enough fight to cover today.
