Seton Hall earned a 78-70 victory Wednesday night at fifth-ranked Butler to improve to 13-4 overall and 5-0 in conference action. The Pirates outscored the Bulldogs 48-30 in the second half after trailing by 10 at the break. Myles Powell led Seton Hall with 29 points on 9-of-23 shooting including 5-of-14 from 3-point distance plus 6-of-6 at the free throw line. He also registered seven rebounds, three steals and two assists. Romaro Gill contributed 17 points, four boards and three blocked shots. Jared Rhoden tallied 13 points and eight caroms. College Basketball Betting Trends
Seton Hall
The Pirates are 4-0 ATS in their last four games as a favorite. Seton Hall is 6-2 ATS in its last eight road games.
St. John’s
The Red Storm are 4-0 ATS in their last four Saturday games. St. John’s is 4-1-1 ATS in its last six games as an underdog.
Prediction:
Seton Hall has played a pretty tough schedule and done well, playing some of its best basketball over the last month despite an injury to a key contributor. But with the early start time and the letdown factor in effect after the upset win over Butler, I see real value on St. John’s here. The Red Storm will want to show up and play a great game at Madison Square Garden. Most of the St. John’s struggles have been on the road and they only lost 60-58 at home to Butler. I see real value in the Red Storm here.
