Davison drains go-ahead 3-pointer

Brad Davison hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 11 seconds remaining Tuesday night to send Wisconsin to a 56-54 home win over Maryland. The Badgers (11-6, 4-2 Big Ten Conference) led 30-25 at halftime before battling their way to the victory after the break. Nate Reuvers paced Wisconsin with 17 points on 7-of-15 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point range plus 1-of-2 at the free throw line. He also brought down five rebounds. Davison contributed 14 points and three boards. Micah Potter added 14 points and three caroms off the bench.

Spartans embarrassed by Boilermakers

Michigan State suffered a 71-42 loss Sunday afternoon at Purdue to drop to 13-4 overall and 5-1 in conference action. The Spartans trailed 37-20 at halftime and fell behind further after the break. Cassius Winston led MSU with 10 points on 4-of-13 shooting plus 2-of-2 at the charity stripe. He also notched five assists and two steals. Rocket Watts added 10 points and two boards off the bench.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Badgers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games as an underdog. Wisconsin is 11-5 ATS in its last 16 games as a road underdog.

Michigan State

The Spartans are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall. Michigan State is 4-1 ATS in its last five Friday games.

The Spartans can be a streaky team and they completely fell flat Sunday afternoon. Their performance should be leaps and bounds better today at home, but it's also a tricky matchup against a Wisconsin team that loves to scrap you to death. The Badgers have won their last three games on the road straight up at Tennessee as well as Ohio State and Penn State. I just see the spread being a little too wide for this one and plan on taking advantage.
