Spartans win 10th straight

Michigan State rolled to a 71-56 victory Sunday at Penn State to improve to 15-2 overall and 6-0 in Big Ten Conference play. The Spartans established a 40-24 halftime advantage and rolled from there. Michigan State shot 25-of-51 from the field, 8-of-20 from 3-point distance and 13-of-19 at the free throw line. Nick Ward paced the Spartans with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting plus 2-of-3 at the charity stripe. He also pulled down 11 rebounds and blocked two shots. Matt McQuaid contributed 15 points, while Cassius Winston talled 11 points plus six assists and four steals.

Cornhuskers dominate at Hoosiers

Nebraska picked up a key 66-51 victory Monday night at Indiana to move to 13-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference. Glynn Watson Jr. led the Cornhuskers with 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting including 3-of-7 from 3-point range. He also registered five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Isaac Copeland Jr. accounted for 14 points and eight boards. James Palmer Jr. had 11 points, nine caroms and five dimes. Thomas Allen added 10 points, three steals and two assists. Nebraska led 31-22 and held the lead the entire contest. The Cornhuskers shot 27-of-60 from the field, 8-of-24 on 3-pointers and 4-of-6 at the free throw line.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Michigan State

The Spartans are 13-3 ATS in their last 13 games overall. Michigan State is 6-0 ATS in its last six games versus the Big Ten.

The Cornhuskers are 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 home games. Nebraska is 1-5 ATS in its last six Thursday games.

The spread on this game moved from 1-point to 1.5 in favor of MSU with much of the action coming in on that side. But the Cornhuskers are no joke as they showed Monday and that was on the road, away from where they have won 20 in a row. While the Spartans are top 10 nationally in adjusted efficiency on offense and defense, Nebraska is ranked 10th in the nation offensively. With what will be a loud crowd backing them, I think the Cornhuskers are going to make a big statement tonight and an argument that they should be included in the top 25.
