Razorbacks struggling in SEC
Arkansas has lost back-to-back conference games following a 57-51 loss to Florida and a 94-88 loss to LSU in the last week. Both games were at home. The Razorbacks are just 1-7 against the spread in their last eight. Arkansas is now 10-5 on the season, 1-2 in the SEC, 2-0 on the road, 7-8 against the spread and 11-4 with the under.
The Razorbacks are putting up 79.6 points per game on offense this season while shooting just 44.9 percent. Defensively, the Razorbacks are giving up 71 points per game despite holding opponents to just 39.3 percent shooting from the field and 29.9 percent shooting from the arc. Daniel Gafford is leading the team with 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while Mason Jones adds 14.8 points per contest.
Vols keep rolling
Tennessee is on a 10-game win streak following a 78-67 win at Florida this weekend. They have covered the spread in four straight as well while winning their last seven by double figures. Tennessee is 14-1 on the season, 3-0 in the SEC, 9-0 at home, 8-5-1 against the spread and 8-6 with the over.
Tennessee has one of the top offenses in the nation, scoring 85.8 points per game while shooting 51.5 percent from the field. Defensively, the Vols are giving up only 65.1 points per game while limiting opponents to just 37.2 percent shooting from the field and 29.4 percent from the arc. Grant Williams is leading the Tennessee charge with 18.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game while Admrial Schofield adds 17.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
College Basketball Betting Trends
Arkansas
The Razorbacks are 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games, but just 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games following a loss.
Tennessee
The Volunteers have covered the spread in four of their last five SEC games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a winning team.
Prediction:
Tennessee is rolling right now and returning home after a nice win over Florida this weekend. There is potential for an emotional letdown tonight, but the Razorbacks have struggled to cover and I think they will be overwhelmed on the road. The Vols defense is really locked in at home, giving up under 60 points per game. Their offense should continue to shoot well against Arkansas, which will make it tough for the Razorbacks to keep this game close.
College Basketball Prediction: Tennessee -14
