Blue Devils blast Demon Deacons

Duke cruised to a 90-59 home win Saturday over Wake Forest to improve to 15-1 overall and 5-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Blue Devils led 49-23 at halftime on their way to the victory. Tre Jones paced Duke with 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting including 3-of-4 from 3-point distance. He also recorded five assists, four steals and three rebounds. Tigers edge Tar Heels

Clemson earned a 79-76 overtime victory at North Carolina Saturday for its first win in 60 tries in Chapel Hill. The Tigers (8-7, 2-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) outscored the Tar Heels 41-31 in the second half and 9-6 in the extra session to triumph. College Basketball Betting Trends

The Blue Devils are 4-1 ATS in their last five Tuesday games. Duke is 6-2 ATS in its last eight games overall.

The Tigers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games. Clemson is 1-4 ATS in its last five Tuesday games.

There are a few reasons I love Duke in this spot. The most obvious is that the Blue Devils might be the best team in the country and have pounded foes routinely this season, home or away. The second is the fact that the Tigers are in a letdown spot as the victory over UNC was special for them considering how much of a rarity that was to accomplish in Chapel Hill. Tonight is only three days removed. Finally, Clemson's struggles are usually on the offensive end and the Blue Devils are ranked fourth nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency. Take Duke in this spot.
