Orange fall flat vs. Yellow Jackets

Syracuse lost 73-59 at home against Georgia Tech Saturday night as its four-game win streak was snapped. The Orange (11-5, 2-1 ACC) were outscored 46-33 in the second half of the defeat. Syracuse shot 18-of-57 from the floor, 7-of-33 from 3-point range and 16-of-21 at the free throw line. Oshae Brissett paced the Orange with 15 points on 4-of-10 shooting plus 7-of-8 at the free throw line. He added four rebounds and three assists. Elijah Hughes contributed 12 points and three rebounds. Tyus Battle added 11 points and two boards.

Blue Devils hold on at FSU

Cam Reddish hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with under a second remaining Saturday afternoon to propel Duke to an 80-78 thriller win at the Seminoles. Duke outscored the host 42-39 in the second half to secure the victory. The Blue Devils shot 30-of-65 from the field, 11-of-24 on 3-point tries and 9-of-15 at the free throw line. R.J. Barrett paced Duke with a game-best 32 points on 10-of-19 shooting including 4-of-7 from 3-point range plus 8-of-9 at the free throw line. He also tallied three rebounds and two steals. Cam Reddish contributed 23 points, three rebounds and three assists. Zion Williamson added 11 points, eight boards and two assists before leaving with an injury.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Orange are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games. Syracuse is 4-1 ATS in its last five games overall.

The Blue Devils are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games. Duke is 9-4 ATS in its last 13 games versus the ACC.

Duke showed it can be vulnerable at Florida State, although Williamson only playing 17 minutes surely helped. His return tonight would make the Blue Devils a complete product again. But I still like Syracuse to stay within the number as its zone defense can be difficult to prepare for with a quick turnaround. The Blue Devils can still win fairly handily and not cover this spread. I'm thinking Syracuse can make it interesting as it looks to bounce back from a poor performance Saturday.
