Red Raiders extend win streak to four

Texas Tech secured a 66-59 home victory Tuesday night over Oklahoma to improve to 14-1 overall and 3-1 in Big 12 Conference play. The Red Raiders outscored the Sooners 35-24 in the second half to notch the win. Jarrett Culver paced Texas Tech with 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting plus a perfect 7-of-7 at the free throw line. He also tallied 13 rebounds, two assists and two steals. Davide Moretti added 12 points plus three assists, three steals and two rebounds. The Red Raiders shot 22-of-49 from the floor, 5-of-19 from 3-point distance and a perfect 17-of-17 at the free throw line.

Longhorns edged by Cowboys

Texas suffered a 61-58 loss at Oklahoma State Tuesday night to fall to 10-5 overall and 2-1 in conference play. Kerwin Roach II led the way with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting including 1-of-4 on 3-pointers plus 3-of-4 at the free throw line. Jaxson Hayes added 13 points, six rebounds and four blocked shots. The Longhorns trailed 39-22 at halftime and could not rally all the way back. Texas shot 23-of-55 from the floor, 2-of-22 on 3-point tries and 10-of-12 at the charity stripe.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Texas Tech

The Red Raiders are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games. Texas Tech is 0-4-1 ATS in its last five games overall.

Texas

The Longhorns are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 home games. The under is 4-0 in the last four Texas games.

Prediction:

I think the Red Raiders are ripe for being upset today against what will be a highly motivated Texas squad and I'm not going to talk you out of a bet on the hosts. But I'm looking more into the under as Texas Tech has the top-rated defense in the country, while Texas is ranked 11th in adjusted defensive efficiency. Both sides also play at a slow tempo. Points are going to be hard to come by this afternoon.
