Horned Frogs fall at Jayhawks

Texas Christian had its nine-game winning streak snapped Wednesday night with a 77-68 loss at seventh-ranked Kansas. The Horned Frogs trailed 40-31 at halftime and were unable to mount a rally. R.J. Nembhard led a balanced TCU scoring attack with 14 points on 3-of-6 shooting, all from 3-point range, plus 5-of-6 at the free throw line. He also grabbed four rebounds. Desmond Bane contributed 13 points plus four rebounds and two assists. Kevin Samuel tallied 12 points and eight rebounds. Alex Robinson had 12 points, four assists and three rebounds. Kouat Noi added 10 points, three steals and two boards off the bench. The Horned Frogs shot 25-of-54 from the floor, 9-of-21 from 3-point distance and 9-of-13 from the free throw line.

Sooners stumble at Red Raiders

Oklahoma could not solve the tough defense of host Texas Tech Tuesday night as it fell 66-59 on the road. The Sooners (12-3, 1-2 Big 12) were outscored 35-24 in the second half of the defeat. Christian James paced OU with 14 points on 4-of-12 shooting including 3-of-10 from 3-point distance and 3-of-4 at the free throw line. Brady Manek added 13 points and seven rebounds. Oklahoma shot 20-of-62 from the floor, 9-of-29 from 3-point range and 10-of-14 from the free throw line.
