Tigers upset by Bulldogs

Memphis lost by a score of 65-62 Saturday afternoon at home against Georgia to drop to 12-2 overall and 9-1 at home. The Tigers were outscored 28-25 in the second half after the score went to halftime tied. Precious Achiuwa paced Memphis with 20 points on 8-of-16 shooting including 2-of-3 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-5 at the free throw line. Shockers roll past Rebels

Wichita State earned a 74-54 home victory Saturday over Mississippi to improve to 13-1 overall and 11-0 at home. The Shockers led 39-24 at halftime on their way to the triumph. Erik Stevenson paced WSU with 29 points on 9-of-15 shooting including 5-of-11 from 3-point range plus 6-of-7 at the free throw line. He also notched six rebounds and three steals. College Basketball Betting Trends

The Tigers are 5-1 ATS in their last six games as an road underdog. Memphis is 1-4 ATS in its last five Thursday games.

Wichita State

The Shockers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. Wichita State is 14-6 ATS in its last 20 games following a straight up win.

The Shockers are a good squad, but have benefited from a weak schedule. The Tigers are more battle-tested and will be salty after the poor performance at home Saturday. Memphis has its sights set on a conference championship and this result would be a huge step. Even if the Tigers don't win outright, I like their chances to stay within the number as their defense should keep them right in it.
