Toledo fell by a score of 79-64 at home Friday night to Ball State to see its 10-game winning streak come to a close. The Rockets (12-2, 0-1 MAC) trailed 38-26 at halftime en route to the loss. Toledo shot 25-of-69 from the floor, 8-of-30 from 3-point distance and 6-of-9 at the free throw line. Jaelan Sanford paced the Rockets with 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting including 2-of-4 on 3-point tries plus 2-of-3 at the charity stripe. He also dished out two assists. Willie Jackson tallied 10 points and nine rebounds. Luke Knapke added 10 points plus five rebounds and two blocked shots.

Bulls cruise in MAC opener

Buffalo eased to a 74-58 victory Friday night at Eastern Michigan to improve to 13-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Montell McRae led the Bulls with 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting plus 2-of-3 from 3-point range. He also pulled down seven rebounds. Nick Perkins contributed 15 points plus six rebounds and two assists off the bench. C.J. Massinburg added 12 points, four dimes and two steals. Buffalo established a 33-23 halftime advantage on its way to the win. The Bulls shot 27-of-54 from the field, 7-of-24 from 3-point distance and 13-of-22 from the free throw line.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Toledo

The Rockets are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall. Toledo is 0-5 in its last five MAC games.

Buffalo

The Bulls are 5-0 ATS in their last five MAC games. Buffalo is 6-2 ATS in its last eight home games.

Prediction:

Despite its poor result last game, Toledo is certainly no slouch. It was outplayed by a talented Ball State squad and will need to be much better to compete tonight. While the competition during the 10-game win streak wasn't always the greatest, there were a few decent victories in there that shows the Rockets have the ability to beat good teams. I think Toledo plays a strong game tonight and while I'd be very surprised if it pulled off the upset, staying within the number is a good bet.
