Buckeyes drop second straight

Ohio State lost 61-57 at home Friday night against Wisconsin to fall to 11-3 overall and 1-2 in conference action. The Buckeyes trailed 29-25 at halftime and faltered down the stretch in the losing effort. Kaleb Wesson paced OSU with 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting including 1-of-3 from 3-point distance plus 7-of-9 at the free throw line. He also racked up 13 rebounds and two assists. Duane Washington Jr. added 18 points and three boards.

Terrapins roll past Hoosiers

Maryland secured a 75-59 home victory Saturday versus Indiana to improve to 12-2 overall and 2-1 in the Big Ten. Jalen Smith paced the Terrapins with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting including 2-of-3 from 3-point range plus 5-of-7 at the free throw line. He also grabbed eight rebounds. Anthony Cowan Jr. tallied 13 points, six boards and six assists. Aaron Wiggins registered 13 points, eight caroms and two assists. Darryl Morsell added 12 points and three rebounds. College Basketball Betting Trends

Ohio State

The Buckeyes are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The underdog is 2-7 ATS in the last nine meetings.

The Terrapins are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. Maryland is 2-5 ATS in its last seven games following an ATS win.

The Terrapins have seemingly righted the ship after a couple rough games, while the Buckeyes are in the midst of a rough stretch. The thing is, when OSU clicks on all cylinder it is talented enough to beat anyone in the country. Look for Ohio State to play with some desperation here and lean on its elite defense to snap the two-game skid or at the very least lose a heartbreaker but stay within the two plus the hook.
