Bears roll past Longhorns

Baylor picked up a 59-44 home win Saturday night over Texas to improve to 11-1 overall and 1-0 in Big 12 Conference play. The Bears led 36-23 at halftime en route to the victory. MaCio Teague paced Baylor with 21 points on 5-of-16 shooting including 2-of-7 from 3-point range plus 9-of-9 at the free throw line. He also pulled down six rebounds. Jared Butler added 13 points and six boards.

Red Raiders dominate Cowboys

Texas Tech cruised to an 85-50 home win Saturday afternoon against Oklahoma State to move to 10-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Jahmi'us Randall led the Red Raiders with 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting including 4-of-7 from 3-point range plus 2-of-2 at the charity stripe. He also notched four rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots. T.J. Holyfield accounted for 17 points and seven boards. Davide Moretti tallied 13 points, five assists and two steals. Terrence Shannon Jr. added 13 points and five caroms. Texas Tech outscored the Cowboys 49-20 in the second half of the rout.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Bears are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games. Baylor is 11-5-1 ATS in its last 17 games as an underdog.

Texas Tech

The Red Raiders are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five Tuesday games. Texas Tech is 1-6 ATS in its last seven games as a favorite.

Texas Tech absolutely blasted Oklahoma State over the weekend, but this will provide a much stiffer test tonight. The Bears are excellent defensively, even better than a Red Raiders squad that was elite defensively last season and still very good on that end. The Bears have only played one true road game, a 77-65 win at Coastal Carolina, but I think they are playing with enough confidence and swagger that they can go into Lubbock and at least stay within the three.
