Aztecs get past Bulldogs

San Diego State earned a 61-52 win Wednesday night at home versus Fresno State to improve to 13-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The Aztecs led 25-17 at halftime and held on from there. Malachi Flynn paced SDSU with 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting including 1-of-2 from 3-point distance plus 3-of-3 at the free throw line. He also brought down five rebounds. Matt Mitchell added 15 points and six boards.

College Basketball Betting Trends

San Diego State

The Aztecs are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games. The road team is 0-5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.

Utah State

The Aggies are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games. Utah State is 1-7 ATS in its last eight games overall.

This spread is a couple extra points in favor of Utah State than I thought it would be, especially after its result at UNLV. The Aggies are a solid team with neutral court wins over two top 50 teams in LSU and Florida, but they are also not elite on either side of the ball the way San Diego State is defensively. I see this game going down to the wire and perhaps being a game decided on the final possession. I'd rather take the team playing the better basketball coming in and that is the Aztecs.
