Cowboys dominate Lions

Oklahoma State cruised to an 82-31 home win Sunday afternoon over Southeast Louisiana to improve to 9-3 overall and 5-2 at home. The Cowboys led 47-19 at halftime on their way to the victory. Thomas Dziagwa paced OSU with 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting including 4-of-7 from 3-point range. He also tallied two rebounds and two assists. Jonathan Laurent contributed 11 points and six boards off the bench. Yor Anei added 10 points, four caroms, two assists and two blocked shots. 

Red Raiders ease past Roadrunners

Texas Tech registered a 73-58 home win over CSU Bakersfield Sunday to move to 9-3 overall and 7-0 at home. The Red Raiders outscored the Roadrunners 40-29 in the second half to pull away. Jahmi'us Ramsey led Texas Tech with 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting including 4-of-6 from 3-point range plus 4-of-4 at the charity stripe. He also registered three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Kyler Edwards added 20 points and four boards.

Oklahoma State likes to play at a faster pace than the Red Raiders, but their bread and butter is on defense. With the early start time and the fact that both teams are inside the top 25 nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency, I think we are in store for a low-scoring affair in this contest. With OSU giving up only 31 points last night, holding teams down is clearly a point of pride. And we already know Texas Tech brings it defensively as evidenced by last season's national runner-up finish.
