Blue Devils crush Eagles

Duke rolled to an 88-49 home win Tuesday night over Boston College to improve to 12-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Matthew Hurt led the Blue Devils with 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting including 5-of-10 at the free throw line. He also pulled down four rebounds. Wendell Moore Jr. added 11 points, four boards and two assists off the bench. Duke established a 45-19 halftime lead en route to the victory.

Hurricanes win fifth straight

Miami secured a 73-68 win in overtime Tuesday at Clemson to move to 9-3 overall and 1-1 in the ACC. The score was tied at 26-26 at halftime and 62-62 at the end of regulation before the Hurricanes outscored the Tigers 11-6 in the extra session. Chris Lykes paced Miami with 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting including 3-of-6 from 3-point distance plus 4-of-5 at the charity stripe. He also registered two rebounds and two assists. Kameron McGusty contributed 15 points to go with three boards. Dejan Vasiljevic added 15 points and seven caroms.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Blue Devils are 4-1 ATS in their last four games overall. Duke is 4-0 ATS in its last four games versus a team with a winning straight up record.

The Hurricanes are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.

Duke has won each of its last six games by at least 12 points and that includes a dominant win over Michigan State on the road, so it isn't only against creampuffs. The best team Miami has beaten this season is Illinois and it has a 13-point home loss against Louisville on its resume. Considering Duke is arguably the best team in the nation and is elite on both sides of the basketball, I'm not going to fade its streak of winning games by double digits here.
