LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) -Will Bynum scored 15 points to lead visiting Montana State to a, 75-61, victory over Long Beach State Saturday.
Bynum made six of 10 shots, had five rebounds and four steals as the Bobcats (5-4) won for the fourth time in their last six games.
Four other Montana State players scored in double figures (Danny Piepoli 12 points, Cody Anderson 11 points and Bobby Howard and Divaldo Mbunga 10 points each). The Bobcats outrebounded the 49’ers, 44-29, in the game.
Long Beach State (4-6) lost their fourth straight game including their first at home this season, and committed a season-high 19 turnovers.
Larry Anderson led the 49’ers with 13 points. Stephan Gilling made four 3-pointers and scored 12 points and Brian Freeman had nine rebounds for Long Beach State.
The Bobcats went on a, 19-3, run midway through the first half to build a 26-9 lead. The 49’ers never got closer than nine points the remainder of the game.
