EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) -Kaleo Kina scored 20 of his game-high 26 points in the final 15 minutes to help Navy rally to beat Mount St. Mary’s 68-65 on Tuesday night.
Kina shot 10-for-15 from the field and added seven rebounds and four assists for the Midshipmen (8-2).
The Mount (3-5) took a 32-27 halftime lead and led 51-48 with eight minutes remaining. Kina then took over, scoring 13 of Navy’s next 16 points. He had five straight points to tie the game, then Adam Teague’s 3-pointer with 5:35 remaining gave Navy the lead for good at 56-55.
Chris Harris added 14 points for Navy, including a pair of free throws with 6.5 seconds left.
Jean Cajou scored 15 points and Kelly Beidler had his second career double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Mount St. Mary’s, which has lost three games in a row.
