STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) -Muhammad El-Amin scored 18 of his 22 points in the first half to lead Stony Brook to its fourth straight victory, a 95-40 rout of Mount Ida on Sunday.
Bryan Dougher and Jonathan Moore both added 12 points for the Seawolves (5-3), who led 52-25 at halftime. El-Amin was 8-of-9 from the field, including making all four of his 3-point attempts.
Johrone Bunch had 12 points to lead the Division III Mustangs (5-2).
Stony Brook, led by five points from Dougher, jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the opening 3:34.
After a 3-pointer by Isiah Benjamin got the Mustangs within 14-4 at 13:19, the Seawolves broke the game open with a 17-11 run to make it 31-15 with 9:21 left in the half. Moore closed the burst with a 3-pointer.
