BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) -Jonathan Han and Mike Evanovich each scored 11 points to lead a balanced Fairfield attack in a 76-56 rout over Saint Peter’s Friday night.
The Stags (5-3, 1-0 MAAC) dominated from the start, building a 16-0 lead by the 13:01 mark of the first half and held a double figures lead the rest of the game. Anthony Johnson and Herbie Allen each added 10 points.
Fairfield is off to its best start since 2003-04 when it opened the season 7-1.
Saint Peter’s (1-5, 0-1) settle down and trailed 39-25 at the half with fifteen points coming from bench players. Leading scorer Wesley Jenkins was held to five points, well below his season average of 18.2 points per game.
